Big Tummy

This last week felt like it lasted a year. I could not wait until my appointment on Friday. Dionisio and I had a labor/massage class we attended the previous weekend with a doula and she showed us some exercises to get my transversed baby to move head down. Dionisio also learned some massages and pain relief techniques to help me through labor. It was an awesome class. I did my exercises everyday and prayed that baby Reina would turn. So yesterday we went to our appointment and .....

1. The baby has turned head down....YEA!!!!!! We got to see our baby one last time before delivery and of course, his/her hand was covering its face. This happens everytime we get an ultrasound (except for the first one).

2. The baby does not weigh nowhere close to 9 pounds. He/She is measuring 6 lbs 11 oz. YEA!!! The doctor predicts an 8 lb baby if I deliver close to my due date.

We were so happy and relieved that we wouldn't have to schedule a c-section. Now we play the waiting game. BOOO!!!! I've had LOTS of Braxton Hicks for almost 2 weeks now. Last Monday I had contractions all day... Aisha swore I was going into labor. I also thought so but didn't want to get too excited. Unfortunately the contractions ended around 6 pm. Dionisio, his mom and I have been walking every afternoon. I used to be able to walk around the subdivision twice (about 2 miles or so) but now I can only do one circle (1 mile). By the time I reach the front door, I feel like the baby is going to fall out. hahaha Aisha leaves on vacation on Monday and returns Thursday so therefore, the walking will have to be placed on hold until Thursday. We don't want the baby coming without his/her tia around.
