I am officially 9 months pregnant. I have 3 1/2 more weeks to go....or so I thought before my appointment this morning. I found out 2 things I didn't really want to hear.
1. The baby is no longer head down; he/she is sideways. That is what the doctor "thinks" because she couldn't feel the baby's head when she checked me.
2. The doctor's exact words "This is going to be a really BIG baby"
Well, it looks like baby Reina might be too big for a vaginal delivery and I might possibly have a c-section. I am bummed about this news because I was hoping for a vaginal delivery. A final decision will be made next Friday, July 25th. I have to come in for my regular visit plus now I have to have an ultrasound. They will check the baby's position (hopefully it will be head down) and also determine its weight. If it is over a certain amount, then they will schedule a c-section. I'm not really surprised about the big baby part. I knew I would have a big baby but not huge. I was a big baby, almost 9 pounds (8 lbs, 15 oz) and my mother had me vaginally. So I'm crossing my fingers and praying that the baby will not be as big as my doctor predicts. Also I'm just a finger tip dialated; approximately 1cm to 1 1/2 cm....which really isn't much. I started having Braxton Hicks, practice contractions, this week. I had about 6-7 on Tuesday and about 3 or so Wednesday and Thursday. So anyways, we will know next week Friday if Baby Reina will come sooner than later. Hopefully not anytime between July 28th-31st because Aisha will be on vacation in California and I NEED her to be here with me.

Don't worry Vielka...I know Noemi will wait for her Tia like Julian waited for you! For everyone that doesn't know the story: When I finally went into labor (at 7 am a week AFTER Julian's due date) or really having contractions, I immediatly called Vielka so she could ride down for the delivery (she was to be one of the people in the delivery room). Atlanta is a good 3-4 hour drive from Charlotte and we were scared that Julian was going to arrive before Vielka got here because the contractions started coming on really quickly (after 2 hours they were already 5 minutes apart)--but somehow they just slowed down to the point that I thought I wouldn't even be delivering that day. As soon as Vielka arrived at our house, the contractions started up again. And to this day we say Julian was waiting for his Tia to be here! (Little did we know that Julian was really taking his time and he wouldn't arrive unil the next day - a full 27 1/2 hours after I had my first contraction!) And I do believe that Noemi will be a big baby because Julian was born 8 punds 4 ounces and your belly looks bigger than mines was overdue. Let's just hope that this next big baby won't be causing her mommy any long labors like her cousin Julian did to his mommy!
Love Tia Aisha
LOL. D Rock or Noemi is going to be a big baby. That comes from all the Belgian chocolates dad sent we send you.
What Aisha said. lol. The baby will wait for Isha to be there and i hope the ultrasound on Friday goes well and the head is down. Keep you in my prayers. Just sing otra noche to the baby when you feel those kicks. lol
