3...2...1... Happy New Year!

It's January 3rd and I am still doing the "3...2...1... Happy New Year". On Thursday, the Leftwich crew of 5 took the 4 hour drive down to Atlanta to continue our family holiday celebration. Our original plan was to head to Snow Mountain and go tubing but unfortunately, Mama and Papa received bad news from New York; and Papa had to catch the next flight out to see Ta-Ta. This was the first Holiday I've spent away from Papa....even Mama has never been away from Papa for New Years; but we knew it was important that Papa be in New York. Please keep my Ta-Ta in your thoughts and prayers.

Good thing Tío and Tía were in town. Spending time and playing with my cousins helped both Mama and I stay busy and bring in the New Year happily. We had the Owen family over (Sarah Paisley's family) and we ate and drank champagne (mine was supposedly sparkling grape juice but it looked just like Mama's). We even went outside and played with the sparklers, all 8 boxes of them, and threw pop-its on the ground. We heard and saw fireworks (and gun shots...but hey, we're in the city now). I had another breakdown of the day since Papa wasn't home but Mama was able to calm me down and rock me to sleep.
