My first words early this morning were,. "My birthday is here, mama"! I'm so excited to get this day going although Mami said that we are having a big party on Saturday. I wonder if Dora is going to come to my party. Either way, I know I will have fun because my Titi, Tio, Julian and Gabriel are coming back to celebrate with me. I miss them so much. Mami had to sit down with me the other day to explain to me that Gabriel is my cousin and not my brother. I guess since we spent over twenty days together in July, I got confused. I wonder if Mami is going to give me a baby sister for my birthday, ohhhh I sure hope she does; I'm tired of asking.
Yesterday I had a playdate with my mom's coworker and her daughter, Sophia. They live in the neighborhood and Sophia will be at my new school in a couple of weeks. We had lots of fun playing with beads (making necklaces), but the best part was my first time dressing up like a princess. She had 2 princess dresses, wands, crowns, shoes....she had it all. We dressed up and put magic spells on our mamis to turn them into princesses too. I had no idea that dressing up would be so much fun. Mami was never too excited to have me dress up as a princess in the past but now that she sees how much fun I have, I think she may let me. So this morning when Mami asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I wasn't shy at all..."Mami, yo quiero mis zapatos, mi vestido de princesa, mi corona y mi varita." I don't know if Mami was speechless because I remembered the word "varita" or that I actually wanted all of that.
Well, I'm 3 and I'm growing like a weed. I wear size 4T-5T, my feet keep getting bigger, I'm in a size 10 already. I absolutely love coloring, pretend playing, having tea with my dolls and most of all SINGING. I will use anything as my microphone and will sing Shakira songs, Hector Lavoe songs, Luis Enrique songs, Guillermo Santa Rosa songs, Beyonce songs and my favorite one lately is the Little Mermaid song. I caught Mami videotaping me yesterday as I was singing, so I'm sure she will post that soon.
One more thing. I'm COMPLETELY out of pull-ups now. I only wore them at night but after coming back from Panama, Tio Colby convinced my mom to just go cold turkey and have me sleep in my panties. I've done a phenomenal job. I've only had one accident (and that was the night Papa put me to sleep...go figure).

You are getting so big, Emi! I love watching you grow and had sooo much fun at your party. I'm glad you had fun with your cousins and secretly I am also hoping your Mami gives you a sibling! SHHH...don't tell Mami, but we'll just keep praying together.
