I celebrated my first Navidad with mami, papi, my tio Colby, tia Aisha, primo Julian, tio Gregorio and abuelita Dora. I started off the morning a bit slow. Papi and I slept in late.....so did tio, tia and Julian (sshhhh). It took mami about 30 minutes to wake everyone up.
Once everyone got up, we had our Christmas breakfast. I hear it is a little tradition that mami and tia have. We eat ham and fruit cake and drink cocoa. Obviously I had to wait til later to get a taste of that.
Then after breakfast came the best part..... opening presents! I got so many presents. My primo Julian helped me unwrap all my gifts. Then Julian unrapped his gifts.... he must have been a good boy because Santa brought him tons of choo-choo trains! Once all the presents were opened we started making the Christmas calls. We would call our family members and all of us would say "Merry Christmas" and then papi did his "ho-ho-ho". Everyone laughed on the other end. Papi kinda sounded like Santa.....weird.
Later on that night we took a trip downtown to see the lights at Centennial Olympic Park. I really can't tell you much because the car ride put me to sleep. Next thing I know I was in my pjs going to bed.

Noemi it sounds like both you and Julian were good children since Santa left so many nice presents at your house. You are sooo cute and I love the picture with you and Santa and you and your folks at the Christmas tree. Looks like mommie was the first one up and taking pictures of the sleepy heads. That's funny.
